ASSIGNMENT PART 3 (1) HISTORY OF THE NAME OF JAKARTA

Jakarta began its history as a small harbor town called Sunda Kelapa Hindu kingdom in the days of Padjadjaran. They came came from Malacca in 1522 as a messenger of the Governor of Malacca, to establish a fort near the mouth of the Ciliwung river. In 1527 the Portuguese returned with a small fleet of Sunda Kelapa without knowing that it had fallen into the hands of Fatahillah. Then came the battle that was won by Fatahillah, a new name for Sunda Kelapa: Jayakarta, which means complete victory ". Incident that occurred on June 22, 1527, which ultimately serve as the anniversary of the city.


In 1596 the Dutch first came to Jayakarta led by Cornelis de Houtman. Then they established the VOC in 1602. In 1619 by Jan Pieterszoon Coen, Jayakarta razed to the ground and built a new city called Batavia. The city subsequently expanded and became the center of the Dutch government. After Batavia fell into the hands of Japan in 1942, its name changed to Jakarta. After Independence in 1945, Jakarta established as the capital of the Republic of Indonesia. Township in 1950 under the leadership of a mayor. In 1964 the provincial level and the elevated status called Jakarta Special Capital Region (DKI) under the leadership of Governor.

ASSIGNMENT PART 3 (2) DAENDELS ROADS

First street was named Grote Postweg (Post Road) or popularly known as Jalan Daendels. Length of the road on the north side of Anyer on Java's west end to Panarukan in the East end, with a total length of approximately 1000 km, the longest in the world at that time. If it had been there, this way certainly go in the Guinness Book of Records! Both of speed and spectacular project completion. Construction of this road casualties are numerous, but judged by the Indonesian historians now as important progress. Thanks to this road in the remote parts of Java to be easily accomplished in a matter of days, not weeks of again. When Daendels arrived in Java, he immediately decided to build transportation lines along the northern part of Java, in order to protect important island under Dutch rule from British attack. With the way the Dutch troops will be mobilized very quickly.

Deandels roading then do it in two stages, the first stage is the construction of roads to open shaft Batavia - Banten in 1808, at that time Daendels focuses its activities on the development of two ports in the north (peacock) and the south (Ujung Kulon). This path through the coastline of Batavia towards Carita, Caringin, penetrating Mount Pulosari, Jiput, Menes, Pandeglang, Lebak up Jasinga (Bogor). The second phase began in 1809, from Anyer through Pandeglang forked road toward Attack (north) and the Valley (south). Of Serang, next to the Tangerang, Jakarta, Bekasi, Bogor, Puncak, Cianjur, Bandung, Sumedang, Cirebon to Panarukan, along the northern coast of Java. The road is called the road the main road or path protocol, but it does not mean that there is no other way branches are bypassed by Daendels.

ASSIGNMENT PART 3 (3) HISTORY OF CATFISH'S STATUE

Previously, Bekasi icon statue has ever known at that time that catfish statue which is located at the intersection of Moon-Moon. Catfish fish-shaped sculpture with harp pieces, but better known as the Statue of catfish. Catfish statue was built in 1955, survived for 7 years and abdicated in 2002. Sculpture built by the power of the Regent Moch. Djamhari when it deemed incompatible with the will of the community in the form of an icon. Regents felt catfish and lute pieces suitable for two crops that thrived in the city jakarta, therefore, deserve to be the icon. While catfish and fruit msyarakat feel less worthy lute became icons, Catfish is a fish that greedy and eating everything, and it's cheap, are harps fruit though almost every garden in Bekasi there but the price is cheap too. So it is not fitting that a statue dijadiin city.

As one long bureaucratic process, finally .. when the rally after April 24, 2002 in Bekasi Sports Stadium, Sri Jaya village head, district Tambun, Mr. Damin Sada with some people who are members of the Association Bekasi Putra Putri Patriot Bekasi (Hipprasi) or Community Kinship Bekasi Agency (BKM) Baghasasi, comes to catfish statue then burn it. Catfish statue along with his lute pieces that leaves memories ..
